Phil Campbell beats Vina for JV girls championship

Mary Beth Fisher dropped 20 points to lead the Phil Campbell Bobcats past the Vina Red Devils 48-14 for the JV girls Franklin County Tournament championship.

There were two teams in the JV girls division, so this was the only game of the tournament.

Phil Campbell held a slight lead at the end of the first quarter, 8-6. The Bobcats exploded in the second quarter, however, outscoring the Red Devils 21-4 to take a 29-10 halftime lead.

The Phil Campbell girls extended that lead to 38-14 at the end of the third quarter.

Fisher scored seven points in the first quarter and second quarter to spark the Bobcats.

Isabella Ashley and Madelyn Mann scored eight points each. Ayla Stowe added seven points, Patience Mays four points and Madison Harper one point.

For Vina, Braxton Quinn scored six points, Claire McCarley five points and Harleigh Ridge three points.
