Senior care service expands into county

Right at Home is an in-home care and assistance company that is expanding its senior and disabled adult caregiving services into Russellville and the Franklin County area.

Area manager Richie Thompson oversees more than 240 care professionals in the Huntsville, Decatur, Athens, Madison and now Franklin County areas. “We’re in a great place to expand,” Thompson said.

He said his initial contact in the area was through Kindred at Home.

“We are privileged to partner with local home health and hospice services. It’s our desire to be an extension of those families,” he said.

North Alabama President Bradford Meythaler said that is Right at Home’s goal to provide quality care across north Alabama. He said Right at Home had been receiving calls from all of their coverage areas, including Franklin County now, and wanted to provide quality service where it is needed.

RAH creates individualized care plans for each of their patients, Thompson said, because every case is different. They provide services like respite care, medication and transportation assistance and more.

“It’s exciting serving the families and having the privilege to assist them and make a difference,” Thompson said.

Meythaler said Thompson is a real leader when it comes to the caregivers, being knowledgeable and maintaining the company’s mission in helping others.

“His heart is behind his work every day. He serves the community and does it with a purpose,” Meythaler said.

RAH has received a Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission, which means the company is accredited for having quality care in the health industry.
