Curtain rises on BTCPA November show

The Bay Tree Council for the Performing Arts in Red Bay has announced its first production of the 2018-2019 season: “The Clock Struck Twelve,” written by James Reach and directed by Georgia Jeffreys.

In this play, Peggy, Gail and Mimi – a struggling singing team – seek shelter from a storm in the Thomas mansion, which has supposedly been haunted since old Mr. Thomas was murdered by his grandson Dick, who was identified as the killer by his sister, Lucille.

Dick escaped, and Lucille had a nervous breakdown. Now on this night, two years later, they both have returned to the scene of the crime.

At midnight, there are horrendous happenings. The ghost walks, a shot rings out – and there’s a startling end to the story.

The cast includes Dustin Edmondson, Sandra Smith, Montana Bates, Molly Thorn, Mary-Elizabeth Moore, Scotty Kennedy, Tina Smith, Joey Allen and Koley Kent.

“The Clock Struck Twelve” will be presented Nov. 8-10 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 2 p.m., with tickets being $8 each. Tickets are on sale now at Community Spirit Bank’s Weatherford Centre in Red Bay, 303 4th Avenue South, and may be purchased or reserved between 2-4 p.m. weekdays. Call 256-356-9829 to reach the Weatherford Centre.

For group sales call Beth Hammock at 256-356-9286.
