Tharptown picks up wins over Covenant Christian, Shoals Christian

Tharptown defeated Covenant Christian in three sets 25-11, 25-17 and 25-15 in recent volleyball action.

Leading the way for the Wildcats was Brooke Daily with four aces and 20 kills. Erica Gray had eight kills; Adrianna Borden had six kills; and Kasey McCormack had four kills.

Tharptown fell to Belgreen in a best three-of-five match. The Wildcats won the first set 25-23; Belgreen won the second set 25-22; Tharptown won the third set 25-23; and Belgreen won the fourth set 25-18 and the fifth set 15-5.

Borden had four kills for THS. Daily had 12 kills and six assists, and McCormack had eight kills.

In the Jenna Askew Memorial Tournament, Tharptown defeated Shoals Christian but lost to Belgreen and Colbert Heights.

In the three matches of the tournament, Borden had nine kills; Daily had 16 kills and eight aces; Macey Petree had four aces; and McCormack had nine kills.
