Bobcats notch blowout wins

The Phil Campbell Bobcats racked up seven runs in the third inning and ten runs in the fourth to pave the way for a 17-2 blowout win over the Red Bay Tigers last week.

Katie Thomas led the way for the Bobcats at the plate, going three-for-four with three RBIs and a double.

Kenner Scott had two RBIs and scored three runs. Abby Davis also had a two-RBI game with a triple and scored two runs. Darby Elliott and Emma Ergle also had two RBIs each.

Leeah Jackson went two-for-two with an RBI and scored two runs.

Chloe Roberson scored two runs.

Ergle got the win going four innings, allowing three hits and two runs and striking out seven.

Phil Campbell 16, Hackleburg 0

The Phil Campbell Bobcats scored five runs each in the first, third and fourth innings in route to a 16-0 shutout win over the Hackleburg Panthers.

Thomas went two-for-three with two RBIs. Her two hits were a double and triple.

Jackson went two-for-three with an RBI, three runs scored and a double. Scott went two-for-three with two RBIs and scored three runs.

Kallie Allen went two-for-two with an RBI and scored two runs. Davis scored two runs, and Darby Elliott had an RBI and scored a run. Karley Ergle scored two runs.

Emily Swinney got the win going four innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four batters.
