The Belgreen High School Fishing Team hosted the Bulldog Bassin’ 24th Annual Bass Tournament

on April 16. The competition was held at Cedar Creek. In first place were Eric Hill and Jim Bianco.

“I pre-fished yesterday for about six hours, and I caught some pretty good fish. We went back to those same areas, but the water dropped today about 11 a.m., so we had to change areas. We probably fished about seven or eight miles,” said Hill.

“It takes persistence,” Bianco agreed.

Second was a combo of Stutts and James; third was Buddy Smith and Rodney Godsey; fourth was Terry Ezzell and Bobby Boyd; and fifth was Don Ezzell and Chris Speck. Speck also won the lunker. Lucky seventh went to Ronnie Wray and Williams combo.

The tournament had 41 boats in the water. Proceeds go to the fishing team and the school to help pay for the fishing team’s entry fee, boat captains and hotel rooms.
