Russellville man killed in crash

A two-vehicle crash March 22 claimed the life of a Russellville man.

According to a report from ALEA, John Newman Hodge, 63, was killed when the 2003 Ford pickup he was driving collided with a 2012 Ford Taurus driven by Michael Ryan McCullough, 21, of Tuscumbia.

Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene, and McCullough was injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred at 4:50 p.m. on Alabama 247 eight miles west of Tuscumbia.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
