Showing grandparents some love

At Phil Campbell Elementary, Grandparents Day was well-attended, with each teacher having something special in store for each student’s Mimi, Poppa, Nanny or Grandpa. In Jennifer Russell’s kindergarten class, students sang a song, shared what they loved about their grandparents and gave their grandparents a special gift packet and pictures they had colored. (1) Carter Williams gives his great-grandfather, Robert Williams, a bag of treats. Carter’s grandfather Teddy Williams was also present for this special day. (2) Conner Headlee and his GiGi, Sherry Nix, examine the bag of goodies. PCES also offered cookies and punch in a reception for all students and heir grandparents.
