Bonnie Beard, 80, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Generations of Red Bay.

She was born March 22, 1932, in Franklin County. She was retired from Wrangler after 37 years. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Services were Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Pastor James Yielding officiating. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery, Hodges.

Survivors are two sons, Donald Beard and Billy Joe Beard, both of Hodges; one daughter, Barbara Faye Grant and husband, Ricky, Easley, S.C.; three sisters, Johnnie Mae Jaehne, Kenosha, Wisc., Ann Wood and husband, Claudie, Belmont, Miss., and Vicki Evans, Hackleburg; one brother, Allen Burgett, Killen; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Beard, her parents, Lewis Thomas Burgett and Lena Mae Files Burgett, a son, Johnny Ray Beard, a brother, Alfred Thomas Burgett and a sister, Dorothy Moore.
