Michael H. Bolding, 57, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

He was a native of Red Bay and was retired after 35 years from NTN Bower as a maintenance machine repairman.  He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at New Bethel Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss., with Bro. William McClellan and Bro. Brian Weems officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sherry Bolding, of Red Bay; one son, Chad Bolding and wife, Jayme, of Christiansburg, Va.; two grandsons, Luke and Levi Bolding; his mother, Elsie Woodham of Red Bay; one sister, Helen Burgett of Red Bay; and his father and mother-in-law, James R. and Louise Solomon of Belmont.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hobson Bolding, and his step-father, Charlie Nelson.

Pallbearers were Greg Burgett, Robert Newell, Alton Hester, Robbie Solomon, Danny Shewbart and Jimmy Shotts.  Honorary pallbearers were David Tiffin, David Brown, Sonny Gresham, Jerry Paul Fancher and Gene Sparks.
