Mrs. Lou D. Carter, 79, Tuscumbia, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral services were Monday, March 19, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Roger Bond officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Carter; daughter, Patricia Britnell; son, Danny Carter; parents, Edward and Dora Smith; and brother, Bobby Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Bond and husband, Roger; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Carter; grandsons, Joshua Bond, Trenton Carter, Adam Carter, Gary Britnell; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Voncille Howard, Dean Bailey, John Smith, Rose Ray, Joanne Duncum; and several nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Josh Bond, Adam Carter, Gary Britnell, Jimmy Ray, Kennith Fleming and Billy King.
