Renae Mayfield Trapp, 49, of Russellville, Ala. lost her battle with cancer, July 19, 2011 at Helen Keller Hospital.

She was a native of Franklin County, Ala. residing in Russellville.  She was a member of Praise Tabernacle Church in Russellville and a graduate of Phil Campbell High School, class of 1980.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 22, 2011, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Ken Taylor, Bobby Stancil and Gregg Burcham officiating.  Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery at Liberty Hill. 

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Darwin Trapp; children, Kyle (Carla Morris) Trapp, Kala Trapp, Josiah Trapp, Leah Trapp, all of Russellville; sister, Sheila Taylor and husband, Ken, of New Orleans, La.; brother, Gary Mayfield, of South Haven, Miss., Jeremy Mayfield and wife, Nikki, of Russellville, Ala.; grandchildren, Madylin and Konner Trapp; stepmother, Sue Mayfield; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, Wayne “Slick” and Doris Mayfield.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Helen Keller Hospital and Shoals Cancer Center.
