Edgar Doyl Cobb, 82, of Littleville, Ala. passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.

He was a native of Winston County, but had lived most of his life in Littleville.  He was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, Littleville, served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Ford Motor Company. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Rev. Gatus Cheatham and Mark Daniel officiating.  Burial was in Colbert Memorial Gardens in Tuscumbia. 

He is survived by his wife, Doise D. Cobb, of Littleville; children, Sue Cobb Cheatham and husband, Gatus, of Claxton, Ga., Gail Cobb Terry and husband, G.H., of Muscle Shoals, Rita Cobb Hand and husband, Joel, of Tuscumbia, Terry Doyl Cobb, of Littleville, Sheron Cobb Kemp and husband, Charles, of Muscle Shoals, Rena Cobb Hovater and husband, Anthony, of Tuscumbia; sisters, Obera Cobb Holt and husband, Otha, of Mobile, Jean Cobb Wakefield and husband, Buck, of Double Springs, Nola Cobb Cleghorn, of Cullman, Betty Cobb Horn and husband, Bill, of Addison; brother, Marvin Cobb, of Double Springs; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Corey Cheatham, Kelly McCorkle, Aaron Hand, Zachery Cobb, Justin Cobb and Jeremy Cobb.

Honorary bearers were Kyle Cheatham and Clint Moreland.

He was preceded in death by parents, Noah and Flora Cobb; daughter, Teresa Cobb Roberts; grandson, Greg Montgomery; brother, Raymond Cobb.
