Two charged with stealing four wheelers

Two men have been arrested in connection with four-wheeler thefts on Highway 75 just south of Russellville.

Jackie Lee Camp, 19, 20615 Highway 129, Haleyville, and Patrick Ryan Skillman, 18, 199 Phillips Road, Lot 1, Bear Creek, have both been charged with first-degree theft of property, a Class B felony.

According to authorities, investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department received a report on Sept. 11 that four separate four-wheelers had been stolen from residences on Highway 75.

Investigators received information that led them to a mobile home park off Goddard Road in the Bear Creek community where two of the stolen four-wheelers were recovered.

The third four-wheeler was recovered at a residence off of Highway 241 in Bear Creek, officials said.

According to reports, at least one of the four-wheelers was destroyed.

Officers with the Marion County Task Force, Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Bear Creek Police Department assisted Franklin County Sheriff’s investigators with the case.

According to authorities, this case is still under investigation.

Camp and Skillman are currently in custody at the Franklin County Jail awaiting bond.
