Rebecca “Becky” Twilley, 60, of Vina, Ala. passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born Jan. 7, 1950 in Sheffield, Ala. to James Marcus and Una Rae Parks Parton.  She was a nursing instructor at Northwest Miss. Communtiy College and at UNA.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Red Bay.

Funeral services were held Aug. 17, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Red Bay with Bro. Charles Cavanaugh and Bro. Larry Hill officiating.  Burial was in Surette Cemetery in Arkabutla, Miss.  Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Twilley, of Vina; two children, Mary Ann Thompson and husband, Chris, of Tuscumbia, and Bro. Christopher Marcus Twilley and wife, Amy, of Senatobia, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Joshua Twilley, Scarlet Twilley, Kaylee Twilley, Alli Twilley, Caleb Thompson, Luke Thompson, Emma Thompson and Ryan Thompson; her mother, Una Parton, of Vina; aunt, Juanita Allison and husband, Earl, of Stevenson, Ala.; one brother, Marcus Parton and wife, Connie, of Ft. Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Mike Parton.

Pallbearers were Joshua Twilley, Caleb Thompson, Luke Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Lowell Humphres and Baxter Nunley.
