Vina’s Hester awarded UNA Scholarship

Kelly Eugene Hester, of Vina, has been awarded a Bryant-Jordan Leadership scholarship by the University of North Alabama.

Hester received the following honors while at Vina High School: National Honor Society; Senior Class Vice President; Salutatorian; Bryant-Jordan Achievement scholarship; There’s A Way scholarship; Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Junior Leadership; A&B Honor Roll; football Most Courage, MVP and Best Offensive Lineman; basketball Best Attitude.

An incoming freshman at UNA, Hester plans to major in Physical Therapy.  He is the son of Mike and Rhonda Hester. He is the grandson of Rex and Faye Edwards of Vina, Kelly and Clara Hester and of the late Carol Hester of Halltown.  He is the great grandson of Gladys Humphres of Vina.  Hester has one brother, Anthony, majoring in math at UNA.
