McDowell, Marshall show set to benefit kids

A country music legend is returning to the Shoals this week.

Long-time country music entertainer Ronnie McDowell will perform Friday, July 30 at the Shoals Theater in downtown Florence. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

“I always look forward to visiting northwest Alabama,” McDowell said.

“There are so many great people and places in that area, I always enjoy it.”

McDowell will be performing several Elvis Presley hits as well as many of his classics, such as “Older Women,” and many of his latest releases.

The evening will include a special appearance by Lee Marshall, who is well known for her years with WAFF-48 in Huntsville.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kids to Love program.
