John David Rogers, 62, of Red Bay, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on May 29, 1948, in Memphis, Tenn., to George and Iris Haddock Rogers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
A memorial service was held on Friday, July 3, 2010, at Northside Baptist Church in Red Bay with Bro. Billy Turbyfill officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Rogers, of Red Bay; his mother, Iris Rogers Pugh, of Red Bay; two brothers, Eric Rogers of Red Bay and Hank Rogers of Montgomery; special companions who were just like children, Brodie, Sissy and Max; father-in-law, John C. Boyd, of Red Bay; two sisters-in-law, Jolene Enis and husband, Kenneth, and Phoelicia Jackson and husband, Lloyd, all of Red Bay; one brother-in-law, Alan Boyd and wife, Janette, of Red Bay; special friends, Bobby and Sandra Barron and Greg and Chris Cummins; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and church family.
