William Hamilton

June 9, 2010

William Benton “Billy” Hamilton, 81, of Russellville passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Hamilton was a deacon at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and also a Mason, belonging to Lodge #371.

The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral will be at follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  Officiating will be Bro. Johnnie Hood.    Interment will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jimmie Lou Hamilton; father, VC Hamilton; mother, Gladys Hamilton, brothers, Roy Hamilton, of Delaware, Vester Hamilton of Russellville, and Bobby Hamilton of Russellville.

He is survived by his brother, Joe Hamilton and, wife, Wanda, of Russellville; loving niece and caregiver, Jesi Hamilton, Russellville; devoted nephew, Heath Daily of Russellville; special friend and caregiver, Jake Cowan, of Russellville; and other nieces and nephews.  Billy also leaves behind a host of friends in Christ.

The pallbearers will be Heath Daily, Russell West, Jake Cowan, Randy Fowler, and Billy Fuller.

The family would like to thank Dr. Longmire for his compassionate care during Billy’s illness.

Eddie DeVaney

Eddie Dean DeVaney, 54, Russellville passed away Tuesday, June 08, 2010 at his residence.

The funeral was held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at  Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Grady Parrish officiating.    Interment will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Horace DeVaney; and grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Rhona DeVaney; two children, Danda DeVaney, Jason DeVaney; grandson, Tyler DeVaney; mother, Yvonne DeVaney; two brothers, Sam DeVaney; Randy DeVaney; sister, Sherry Mims; 14 nephews, and 12 nieces.

The pallbearers will be Derrick Willingham, Jon Higgins, Rodney Calhoun, David Mims, Chuck Jackson, and Bo Evans.
