Ruth L. Sparks, 92, of Russellville, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Russellville Healthcare.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Loyd Griffus officiating. Burial was in the Cherry Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service included Nathan Hamilton, Rodney Seay, Wally Aycock, Earl Lenz, Jerry Hamilton, and Matt Aycock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jack Sparks; parents George W. and Linnie Bell Long Stanford; siblings, Lonnie Stanford, Bill Stanford, Jack Stanford, Lucille Porter, and Ruby Stanford.

She is survived by her daughters, Annette Hamilton, and husband, Billy, and Betty Phillips, and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Jerry Hamilton and wife, Norma, Wally Aycock and wife, Marsha, Lisa Lenz, and husband, Earl, and Charlotte Seay and husband, Rodney, great-grandchildren, Matt Aycock, Brett Aycock, Nathan Hamilton, Kimberly Hamilton, Logan Seay, and Morgan Seay; great-great-grandchildren, Braden Hamilton.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
