Mrs. Jeri Lynn Bobo, 43, of Russellville went home to her Lord April 20, 2010 with her loving family at her side after an extended and courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Bobo was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. She graduated from Colbert Heights High School and later attended Ray’s Cosmetology School acquiring a state license as a cosmetologist and cosmetology instructor.  She taught classes at Ray’s and later became the manager of Cost Cutters in Muscle Shoals.  She was very devoted to her job.

Survivors include her husband of almost 20 years, Darren Bobo; parents, Johnny and Mary Walker, Tuscumbia; son, Shawn Walker and wife, Whitney, Tuscumbia; sister, Sherry Lynn Riley, Russellville; grandmother, Lydia Hester; stepson, SSGT Jacob Bobo and wife, Kerri, Anchorage, Alaska; nieces and nephews including one great niece, Jadien Calvert; two step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bobo was preceded in death by her sister, Teri Lynn Ergle.

Another light from our family is gone, another voice we loved is still, another place is vacant, which never can be filled, we have to mourn the loss of another, we would have loved to keep, but Got who surely loved her best, has finally made her sleep, after a lifetime of her love and joy, and her laughter to fill our ears, God leaves these wondrous memories, to help us through our tears.

Funeral service were held in the chapel  Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at Cherry Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.   Pallbearers were Bill Brown, Eddie Brown, Chucky Gipson, Drew Riley, Jared Ergle and Dave Brown.

The family would especially like to thank Pam and Cynthia of Hospice of the Shoals and our friends and family of Cherry Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Cherry Hill Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
