The post-season awards and recognitions keep rolling in for the Russellville basketball programs.
After being selected for All-Star games, a pair of Russellville players were selected by the Alabama Sports Writers Association for inclusion on the 2010 All-State Team
Terence Smith and Tasha West were both selected as Second Team members of the Class 5A All-State Team.
This is the second year in a row Smith has earned All-State honors – he earned an honorable mention last season.
This is the first time West was selected for the honor.
Smith helped guide the Golden Tigers to the sub-regional round of the playoffs where Russellville lost to eventual state champion Lee-Huntsville by three points.
He averaged 19.4 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals per game and was also named the Franklin County Times Offensive Player of the Year.
He will play in the Alabama-Mississippi Classic, an All-Star game for seniors, Friday night.
West helped Russellville reach the finals of the Northwest Regional Tournament. The Lady Golden Tigers lost that game to eventual state champions Fairfield by one point.
She averaged19.5 points, eight rebounds and two steals and was named the Franklin County Times Offensive Player of the year.
She was selected to play in the North-South All-Star Game this summer.
