RED BAY – A Red Bay couple and a Mississippi woman were taken into custody Friday and will face multiple drug charges.
Red Bay Police Chief Jana Jackson said 37 year-old Andreas Mathew Roberts and 36 year-old Shannon Roberts, both of 111 Village Green Circle in Red Bay, have been charged with first degree illegal possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities confiscated several packages of marijuana, various controlled substances and some U.S. currency for evidence.
Jackson said several complaints were taken around the neighborhood pertaining to drug use at the Red Bay residence. A search warrant was issued for the residence and that is when law enforcement raided the home.
Franklin County Sherriff’s office investigators assisted the Red Bay Police Department during the operation.
Jackson said Retha Melissa Aters, 29, of 5375 Fairview Banner Road in Golden, Miss., was also arrested for contributing to the same incident. She will face charges including the illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance.
All three are currently being held at the Franklin County Jail. Shannon Roberts is currently being held on $5,300 bond and both Andreas Roberts and Aters are being held on a $5,000 bond.
