PC prepares for upcoming election

PHIL CAMPBELL – Officials for the upcoming municipal election were appointed at the Phil Campbell Town Council meeting this week.
The council voted to appoint Carol Murray as inspector, Dot Nix as registration list clerk, Barbara Ayers as poll list clerk, and Unice Caldwell as ballot clerk. The council also voted to name an alternate in case any of the officials become ill.
The council voted to make Martha Farmer the alternate for the election.
The council voted to pay the election officials $125-$50 for attending a mandatory election class, and $75 for working the day of the election.
