Trio wins Judy Jester Memorial tourney

Cory Murks, Joey Tucker and Dustin Wright claimed first place in the championship flight of the second annual Judy Jester Memorial Tournament held at Twin Pines Country Club June 28-29.
The trio shot a 55-55-110 to defeat Jon Michael Vacca, Tony Olive and Stuart Clark, who fired a 57-56-113. Olive, Clark and Kyle Presley won the inaugural event last year at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Iron City.
The team of Rick Bostick, Chad Nichols and James Porter finished in third place with a 57-56-113.
Eddie Fikes, Lee Fikes and Thomas Howell shot 120 to win the first flight, while Chris Coates, Bob Kresse and Barry West were second with a 121 and Curly Hallman, Freddie Cleveland and Terry Thorn placed third.
Mike Grissom, Jon Jon Calvert and Tommy "Catfish" Dodd placed first in the second flight with a 128, Chad McDuffa, Paul Czervionke and Blake Mitchell were second with 129 and Jackie Hutcheson, Kathy Powers and Donna Machtoff shot 130 to finish third.
Brett Clayton had the longest drive Saturday, while Joey Tucker won the event Sunday.
