New business opens in Vina

VINA – The Town of Vina welcomed a new business to the community last weekend.
The business, Custom RV Inc., is owned by Branndon and Melinda Hutcheson of Vina.
"We customize motor homes and do upgrades on them," Branndon said. "We offer options the factory doesn't to make the motor home unique to that customer."
Branndon, a 12-year employee of Tiffin Motor Homes in Red Bay, has been customizing motor homes on the side for several years and said he has wanted to open his own business.
"I've been wanting to do this for over seven years," he said.
"I just decided to open a shop a few months ago, and now here we are."
The grand opening for the business was held Saturday with food, music and prizes.
"We were hoping for a bigger turnout because we invited the entire Tiffin campground to our opening," Melinda said.
"But, the campground emptied out this morning."
Branndon said he will continue to work at Tiffin's until his business takes off. Until then, he only works in the afternoons and weekends.
"It's scary starting a new business," Melinda said. "We are hoping that business will be good enough for both of us to work full-time here."
The couple has two children, Bailey and Mia.
