Russellville pitcher Josh Smith pitched the final three innings.
The Russellville offense was sparked by a three-run homer by Dylan Boston.
Post 64 coach Wes Todd said he was pleased with the team's performance.
"We did a good job bunting and stealing bases and doing the things to move people over," he said.
"A lot of guys stepped up."
Brady Gregory, of Sheffield, had a double.
The Russellville tandem of Matthew Duncan and Casey Herring also had hits.
Russellville hitter Jesse Green lead the offense in game 2 by hitting a grand slam in the 11-3 win.
T.J. Lindsey and Matthew Duncan each scored three times.
"Michael Melton pitched a great game," Todd said.
Melton pitched a complete game, giving up four hits and walking two. He struck out three.
"I was very pleased with how we played," Todd said.
"They got after it and it is good to get those first W's."
