Best of luck graduates

Belgreen, Phil Campbell, Red Bay and Vina graduates will march across the stage today draped in their school colors and filled with emotions ranging from jubilation and pride to sadness and fear.
I will never forget riding with my best friend Amber one last time to our graduation on the football field, watching several senior boys prank the administration one final time by accepting their diplomas in their bare feet and gathering in the end zone to fling our caps.
My little sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program still has five years left before she will don a blue-and-silver cap and gown. If she were graduating today, I would say this to her:
Take pictures with as many people as possible before and after the ceremony. This might be the last time you see some of your classmates, so take the time to pose for snapshots. I wasn't a big fan of taking or being in pictures while in high school, but for some reason I wore out the camera the night of my ceremony.
High school doesn't have to be the best time of your life. I had a great time during high school, and I thought college was even better. But the past year has been the best one so far, even though I've been out of school and in the so-called real world. There's nothing wrong with reminiscing about the "good 'ole days," but there are plenty of memorable moments that lie ahead of you.
Believe in yourself and take advantage of opportunities. I think this is something that all successful people have in common, and if you get a chance to do something, seize the opportunity because it might not be there again.
Finally, cherish your loved ones and spend as much time as possible with them. Your friends and family will help you celebrate the good times and get through the rough patches. Do your best to stay in touch with friends and family, and be there for the important events in their lives because time seems to pass by faster as you grow older.
To all the seniors graduating from the county schools today and the Russellville seniors graduating next Friday, I want to say congratulations and wish you all the best life has to offer.
