Monday Update: Hutcheson seeks District 2 seat

By Staff
Howard Hutcheson has announced his candidacy for county commission District 2.
His parents were the late Flavis and Inez Hutcheson. He was born in Red Bay and moved to Spruce Pine when he was two years old. He has lived there since.
Hutcheson has been married to his wife, Linda, for 39 years. The couple has three sons, Chad and his wife, Andrea, of Russellville, Burt and his wife Whitney, of Phil Campbell, and Matt and his wife Jammie, of Phil Campbell.
"Linda and I have five wonderful grandchildren, Seth, Rachel, Emma, Hunter and Hudson," he said.
"I am involved in community and county-wide activities. My hobby is bass fishing and I am on the Franklin County GIS board."
Hutcheson has been employed with the Phil Campbell Water Works and Sewer Board for the past 18 years. He has been the superintendent for eight years.
"My job involves working with the public on a daily basis," Hutcheson said. "I am willing and prepared to talk and listen to everyone in the county. I will work hard for the county.
"I realize that there is no possible way that I can meet and speak to every Franklin County citizen, but I am going to try. I would appreciate everyone that knows me and the ones that I meet to put in a good word for me. Your vote will be greatly appreciated."
