RHS softball downs Hamilton
The Russellville varsity softball team improved to 3-1 at home as the Lady Golden Tigers beat Hamilton 10-5 Tuesday.
Brennnia Malone earned the victory by scattering three hits and throwing five strikeouts in four scoreless innings, and Mallory McCreary picked up the save.
Kayla Stephens went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs, Hollie Hillman hit a homer and Dana Pruett went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Katelyn Keelon added a hit and Samantha Lawson had a hit and drove in two runs.
Russellville (3-4) scored seven runs in the first two innings and also pushed aross a run in the third, fifth and sixth innings, while Hamilton scored all five of its runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Russellville will play at Red Bay 4 p.m. Monday.
Belgreen softball blasts S. Christiatn
BELGREEN – Junior Deborah Billingham hit a two-run homer to spark a 12-run first inning as the Belgreen varsity softball team defeated Shoals Christian 18-3 Thursday.
Nineteen Lady Bulldog batters went to the plate in the four-inning win, and sophomore Amber Smith added a pair of hits for Belgreen, which plays at Phil Campbell 4 p.m. Monday.

RMS football meeting
March 25
The Russellville Middle School football program will host a player/parent meeting from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25. The meeting is for all boys in the sixth and seventh grades who are interested in participating in spring football practice.
City flag football registration
March 31
The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department flag football league will register teams until March 31.The league is for ages 16 and up, and the fee is $150 per team with a limit of 15 players.
To register, come to the Russellville Recreation Center or call Derrick Dorn at 332-8770.
Regional BASS tournament
May 22-23
DECATUR – The Decatur/Morgan County Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce Ingalls Harbor has been chosen for the BASS Club World Championship (BCWC) Regional Tournament, a qualifier for the World Championship. The regional tournament is set for Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23.
