Keeping things fresh

In the past several months, the editorial staff at the Franklin County Times has taken a good, hard look at what we're doing and how we can improve.
The one thing that kept popping up was, we felt, the best way to improve, was to give you even more. So, that's exactly what we did.
Effective last week, our website, fct.wpengine.com, became Franklin County's seven day news source. The staff at the Franklin County Times has been updating the site with news stories every day of the week. And that even includes Saturdays.
This trend will continue as we offer more to our readers.
For those of you who enjoy our printed product, we haven't left you out.
We've added several new news features already, including our weekly student profile, and we plan more in the coming weeks.
All stories on the site will be addressed in the newspaper and vice versa.
However, there will still be many unique items that are exclusive to your printed Franklin County Times.
We consider our website to be the perfect companion to our print edition. In reading both, you can keep up with your friends and neighbors 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For those of you who wake up with your printed Franklin County Times three mornings per week, I encourage you to sign up for our news alerts and to log on to the site each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
News alerts allow us to email breaking news to your inbox as it happens. By checking our website on our-non-publication days, you'll be kept abreast of what's happening in your community on days your news carrier doesn't pay you a visit.
The site is easy to navigate and it's a good way for those of us who aren't technologically savvy to get connected to your online community. For those of you who only read our online product, I encourage you to pick up a printed copy of the Franklin County Times and see what a good old-fashioned community newspaper has to offer.
Your parents and grandparents grew up with the Franklin County Times. There's nothing wrong with growing up with the fct.wpengine.com but every once in a while, it's good to get back in touch with your roots.
