Vina defeats Tharptown 10-0
MOUNT HOPE – The Vina boys baseball team defeated Vina 10-0 in the the Yellow Jacket Preseason tournament Thursday.
Randy Barnes earned the victory on the mound for the Red Devils with only one hit allowed, eight strikeouts and two walks. He also went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, a triple and one home run.
Ryan Manasco hit a solo homer and Nash Creekmore went 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Vina, which improved to 3-0 this season.
The Red Devils will host Marion County Monday at 3:30 p.m., while the Wildcats play at Hazelwood Tuesday at 4 p.m.

City flag football registration
March 31
The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department flag football league will register teams until March 31.The league is for ages 16 and up, and the fee is $150 per team with a limit of 15 players. To register, come to the Russellville Recreation Center or call Derrick Dorn at 332-8770.
Regional BASS tournament
May 22-23
Decatur – The Decatur/Morgan County Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce Ingalls Harbor has been chosen for the BASS Club World Championship (BCWC) Regional Tournament, a qualifier for the World Championship. The regional tournament is set for Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23.
Last year, BASS introduced a new level of competition, the BASS Club World Championship. Ten regional tournaments are held throughout the year with winners from each advancing to the BASS Club World Championship, which is set for Oct. 6-11.
