Lady Bulldogs beat No. 5 Red Bay

BELGREEN – Martha Billingham scored 23 points as Belgreen beat No. 5 Red Bay 65-63 Thursday.
Monica Smith added 19 points for the Lady Bulldogs (19-6).
Chesley McWilliams led Red Bay (19-5) with 22 points, and Brittany Scott scored 19.
Covenant Christian 56
Tharptown 48
Tharptown's Hollie Hines tossed in 20 points but it wasn't enough to stop Covenant Christian.
Crystin Johnson scored 19 points for the Lady Eagles.
Red Bay 74
Belgreen 57
Cody Tucker scored 21 points as Red Bay beat Belgreen 74-57.
Justin Page scored 16 points, while Derrick Miller had 13 and Grant Francher added 12 for the Tigers.
Kyle Warren led Belgreen with 14 points, and Shane Fretwell scored 10.
Covenant Christian 71
Tharptown 52
Joseph Parker poured in 33 points as Tharptown came up short against Covenant Christian.
Lee Williams had a team-high 23 points for the Eagles.
