Jewel H. Swindle

Jewel H. Swindle, 65, of Russellville, died Jan. 14 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee.
She lived all her life in Franklin County and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville. She worked with DAV Women's Auxiliary and was employed by Walmart.
The funeral was held Jan. 16 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Wade Wallace officiating. Burial followed in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She is survived by children, Karen Wierman, Lakeland, Tennessee, Randy Smith, Cullman, Alabama; sisters, Faye Justice, Russellville, Alabama, Edna Teague, Haleyville, Alabama, Ruth Adkins, Russellville, Alabama; brother, Grover Hutchins, Russellville, Alabama; eight grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Swindle; parents, James and Ludie Shelton; brother, Johnny R. Hutchins.
Don S. Hancock

Don Stark Hancock, 66, Russellville, Alabama, passed away Jan. 15 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama.
Mr. Hancock was a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but had lived in Russellville for the past 35 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Russellville and retired from Lee Apparel where he was Human Resources Manager for 24 years. He was board member and past president of the Civitan Club, volunteer for Meals on Wheels, on the YMCA Board of Directors: Russellville and Florence and served on several First United Methodist Church Committees. The funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Russellville with the body to be placed in the church one hour before the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Officiating will be Clinton Busler and Alan Beasley. There will be a funeral service Jan. 19 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Long Beach, Mississippi. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Ben Barlow. Burial will follow in Long Beach City Cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Vicki Hancock, Russellville, Alabama; children, Audrey Hancock Mashburn &husband, Jerry, Florence, Alabama, Mildred "Millie" Hancock Nohren &husband, Jeff, Tampa, Florida, Jessica Ann Hancock, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sisters, Mildred M. Johnson, Long Beach, Mississippi, Betty Lou Holder, Long Beach, Mississippi; brothers, Joe M. Hancock, Biloxi, Mississippi, James A, Hancock, Sr., Long Beach, Mississippi, Phillip P. Hancock, Sr., Long Beach, Mississippi; grandsons, Daniel Nohren, Samuel Mashburn, Andrew Mashburn, Steven Nohren, Elijah Mashburn, John Nohren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, great-great nieces and nephews. Longtime best friend, Harry Huston. Pallbearers will be Jim Hester, Eric Hester, Tinker Malone, Scott Hancock, Bobby Johnson and Allen Holder.
Honorary bearers will be Russellville Civitan Club and Bill Butler. He was preceded in death by parents, Curtis Dewey Hancock and Alice Mildred Hancock; brother, C. D. Hancock, Jr.; grandson, William Nohren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or First United Methodist Church.
Cloma Adell Hyde

Cloma Adell Hyde, 91, of Russellville, passed away Jan. 16 at ECM Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Calvary Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
Bro. Wade Wallace and Bro. Joe Lenox will officiate and burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Grant Voyles, Dennis Hyde, Mark Myers, Tim Myers, Greg Booker and Jason Baker.
She was preceded in death by husband, Dennis Hyde; parents, Jessie Rich, Bessie Thomas Rich Taylor and step-father, Fred Taylor; brother, Lloyd Rich.
She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie Wynn (Gathel), Margaret Wisenbarger (Art), Hugh Hyde (Peggy); sisters, Evelyn Keplinger, Vernice Thomas, Venice Maloney, Martha Carter, Betty Williams, Mary Sue Weeks; brother, Robert Taylor; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
James Paul Cagle
January 15, 2008
James Paul Cagle was born May 14, 1925 in Haleyville. He passed away Jan. 15 at Lakeland Community Hospital at the age of 82. He was a member of Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church and had served in the United States Army during World War II.
Funeral services were held Jan. 17 at Pinkard Funeral Home with Elder Clayton O'Mary and Bro. Ron Horton officiating.
Burial followed in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Cagle; daughters, Sue Norris and husband, Auburn, of Haleyville, Sandra Greenhill and husband, Jimmy, of Russellville, Paula Force and husband, Rocky, of Florence; brothers, David Cagle, of Haleyville, Ben Cagle, Of Haleyville, Arley Cagle, of Winfield; sisters, Telitha Sumner, of Haleyville, Willie Lee Smith, of Russellville, Lois Cranford, of Smyrna, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by son, Audie Cagle, parents, George and Mamie Cagle; brothers, Pearson and Joseph Cagle; sisters, Eva Williams, Cleo Cagle and Lillian Cagle.
Michael Keith Davis
Michael Keith Davis was born April 13, 1954 in Haleyville. He passed away at the age of 53 at Russellville Hospital. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Haleyville.
Funeral services were held Jan. 15 at Pinkard Funeral Home with Bro. John Simmons officiating. Burial followed in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Arnold and Jo Davis; brother, Roger Davis.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Homer and Ira Tedder Donaldson and Garfield and Wakie Davis.
