Search for chamber director begins

The search for the new Director of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will begin today with a meeting of the executive board members.
Chamber President Ken Askew said meeting will outline how the board plans to attack the void left when Lisa Stockton resigned her post last month.
"This is all pretty new to us," he said. "The board hasn't had to find a new director in the past 13 years."
The board is expected to form a search committee who will be in charge of finding Stockton's replacement.
No timetable has been set for when the Board expects to have the post filled.
Stockton resigned Dec. 20, informing her board of directors that she had accepted a job as Facilities Administrator for the Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) office in Muscle Shoals.
