The Russellville Police Department has located a wanted man after four months of searching.
Police Chief Chris Hargett said that Armando James Hawkins, also known as Armondo Luis Vidal, was arrested by Russellville Police officers on misdemeanor warrants. The department had been looking for Hawkins since March.
"Mr. Hawkins did not stay at any certain location long, which made it hard for us to find him," Hargett said.
Russellville had warrant on Vidal but after further investigation by Captain David Hester, it was found that Vidal's name was actually Hawkins
Further investigation found that he was wanted in Michigan for sexually abusing a 13 year old girl, Hargett said.
Hargett believes that Hawkins would have already left town had he realized that the police department discovered his actual identity.
"It's always good to get a sexual predator off the streets," Hargett said.
He added that Hawkins is currently in the Russellville City Jail and has signed a wavier to be transported back to Michigan.
