Sara Ruth Smith-Oliver, 84, passed away June 3, 2007 at Medical Center Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She had been living with her granddaughter, Samantha Durst, this past year in Dallas.
Mrs. Oliver was a lifetime resident of Franklin County until July 2006 when she moved to Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, three husbands, four stepdaughters, four step-grandchildren and one-grandson.
Survivors include John and Mary Smith, of Las Vegas; stepdaughters, Mary Burrell of Russellville and Yvonne Oxendine of Oak Grove; 26 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Franklin County with details to be announced at a later date.
Arnie Mae Hendrix

Arnie Mae Hendrix, 94, of Russellville passed away June 9, 2007.
Graveside services were held June 11 with Bro. Dan C. Hindman officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dewey Hendrix; daughter, Ruth Poss Hester and parents, Joseph and Flora Pace Willis.
She is survived by her grandson, Randy E. Hester and wife, Sharon; granddaughter, Felechia Clingan; great-granddaughter, Nichole Clingan; son-in-law, Horace M. Hester and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the employees of Russellville Healthcare for the love and care of their grandmother since October 2, 2002.

Regina LaNell Freeman, 45, of Russellville, died Sunday, June 10, 2007. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15 at 12 noon at the First Missionary Church in Russellville.
Burial will follow at Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville.

Tobias Edward McKay

Tobias Edward McKay, 22, of Russellville, died Sunday June 10, 2007.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville. Bro. Jim Poss will officiate. Burial will follow at Spruce Pine Cemetery.
He lived his entire life in Franklin County, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. He was a 2003 graduate of Belgreen High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Katherine Brown and Mr. and Mrs. James Yocum.
He is survived by his father, Mark Edward McKay of Russellville, his mother, Janice Baxter, a sister Ericka McBrayer of Russellville, and his grandfather, T.E. Brown of Russellville, as well as several cousins and friends.
A fund has been set up at the First Metro Bank to assist the family.
Wallace Haley Spradlin

Wallace Haley Spradlin, 85, of Phil Campbell, Thursday June 7, 2007 at Russellville Hospital.
Funeral services were held June 8 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville. Bro. John Stancil officiated. Burial followed in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in the Dime community. He was a veteran of World War II, and served with the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie Spradlin. He is survived by his wife, Mary Spradlin; his children, Pat Bonner of Prattville, Nancy Meyers of Beloit, Wisconsin, Ronnie Spradlin of Phil Campbell, Randy Spradlin of Cullman, and Connie Edwards of Phil Campbell; six grandchildren: Wes Bonner, Kim Hollen, Josh Meyers, Allison Meyers, Ashley Edwards, and Spencer Edwards; and three great-grandchildren: Rhett Hollon, Brooklyn Hollon, and Haley Bonner.
