City BOE meet filled with tears

At Thursday's meeting of the Russellville School Board of Education, tears and friendly sentiments were present as outgoing Russellville Elementary School Principal Joe Pride was wished a warm farewell and incoming Principal Kristy Ezelle was welcomed into the position.
Each administrator, faculty member and staff member at the meeting expressed appreciation for the work that Pride has done in his years at the school.
Also welcomed to the school system were new employees. Those persons were Christy Bostick, who is taking a special education position at West Elementary School; Mallory Kincaid who is taking an ESL position at WES; Denise Wilson, taking a Title I position at Russellville Elementary School; Sandra Clark, SNP at RES; Marilyn Keelon, summer secretary position from June 11 through July 26 at RES; Matt Cohegan, math teacher at Russellville Middle School; Freddie Lawrence, At-Risk position at RMS; George Crummie, being promoted to Fine Arts Coordinator at Russellville High School; Donna Goodman, counseling position at RHS; Dustin Davis, social science teacher at RHS; as well as three student workers throughout the school system, and a volunteer student worker to help with RHS girls' basketball and volleyball teams.
"Welcome to the Russellville family," said Judy Pounders to the incoming employees. "This is a great place to raise kids, grow up as a teacher, and to call home."
