After spending slightly less than one full season in a Russellville Golden Tiger uniform, tight end Marc Dunn signed a scholarship offer from the Hargrave Military Academy Friday afternoon.
Dunn was placed at the school by Vanderbilt University, who will monitor his performance next season and possibly offer him a spot with the Commodores in the 2008-2009 season.
"I'm looking forward to playing football in the SEC one day," Dunn said.
Following a transfer from Huntsville, Dunn played in only eight games with the Golden Tigers. However, he finished as the team's top receiver last season with 28 catches, eight touchdowns and nearly 400 yards.
Marc graduated from Russellville High School with a 3.3 GPA and scored a 24 on the ACT.
Dunn is listed at 6-2 and 230 pounds. He runs a 4.7 40 and benches 275.
"Marc is a good athlete and a really good student," Glen Jackson, Dunn's recruiter and president and CEO of Southeastern Athletics said. "He'll spend this next season at Hargrave to keep in football shape and hopefully join Vanderbilt after the season."
Dunn is the son of Marc Dunn, Sr.
