Barry Moore sworn into office

Dozens of Franklin County residents gathered in the Probate office late Wednesday to view the swearing in of Barry Moore as Franklin County's new Probate Judge.
The moment was bittersweet for many because of the circumstances. A few tears fell as Moore promised to uphold the duties of his newly appointed office.
"I am looking forward to working with the staff in the probate office, and at the commission," Moore said during his brief speech after the ceremony.
Moore acknowledged that he has big shoes to fill and that the task will not be an easy one, but said he wants to continue down the path that the late Mike Green had begun before his death in April.
"I ask for everyone's prayers so that I can do my best for the county," Moore said.
