Robin Vanhorn named Mercy Award winner

Robin Vanhorn, a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the Rehabilitation Department at Russellville Hospital, has been named the hospital's 2007 Mercy Award Winner.
The Mercy Ward was created to honor outstanding individuals for their commitment to LifePoint's high standards of excellence. The Mercy Award is given annually in honor of Scott L. Mercy (1961-2000), founding Chief Executive Officer of LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. The Award commends individuals whose daily dedication and care giving inspires other with their compassion, dedication and merciful spirit. This honor places Vanhorn in the running for LifePoint's 2007 Mercy Award, the highest honor an employee can earn with LifePoint Hospitals, Inc., the parent company of Russellville Hospital. She will be up against colleagues and award winners at the company's other hospitals.
"Robin takes her job seriously and truly makes a difference in the lives of others," Christine Stewart, Russellville Hospital's CEO said. "She is a classic example of dedication and commitment and loves people and her job."

Vanhorn has been employed at Russellville Hospital for seven years and serves as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She works full time in her current position while attending college to become an Occupational Therapist.
"This is truly an honor," Vanhorn said. "This is awesome. I still can't believe it."
