When Patti McDuffa went to Wal-Mart last Thursday, she went looking for groceries. But while she was there, she found trouble.
While shopping, a would-be thief tried to steal her purse.
"I fought with her," McDuffa said. "It just made me so mad. She just picked on the wrong lady that day."
McDuffa said she grabbed a hold of her purse and before she knew it, both ladies were wrestling on the floor.
"She grabbed a hold of me and I grabbed a hold of her shirt…I tore the shirt right off her back," she said. "I finally got my purse and she ran from the store naked from the waist up."
Russellville Police arrested the assailant, Judy Carol Pounders, 46, of Russellville, and charged her with second-degree theft of property, second-degree attempted theft of property, third degree robbery and third degree assault.
Pounders was taken into custody upon leaving the store and city officers recovered two other purses reported stolen earlier in the week from her home.
