Local pharmacy goes high tech

Big Al, Russellville's newest pharmacist, isn't your regular prescription filler. He doesn't say much and he barely moves. But he doesn't make mistakes and is revolutionizing the business.
Big Al is actually a Robotic Prescription Dispensing System, and is cutting edge technology in the tasks of counting pills, filling bottles and labeling prescriptions.
"It allows me or the pharmacy tech to spend more time with the customer," said Rodney Logan, Pharmacist at Russellville Pharmacy. "It increases our customer service and is more accurate and safer than handling the pills by hand."
Up to 200 types medication can be stored in Big Al.
