Dorothy Ruth Wallace Harrison, Roy Earl Starling

Dorothy Ruth Wallace Harrison, age 79, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home in Killen.
Mrs. Harrison was a native of Lauderdale County but had lived most of her life in Franklin County. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Harrison.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Jimmy Winsted officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Neil Taylor, III, Chris Taylor, Bradley Owens, Jeffrey Winsted, Billy Hale and Bob Hamilton.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by two daughters, Brenda Winsted and husband Jimmy, of Columbia, South Carolina, and Shirley Owens and husband Don, of Killen; a sister, Ruby Hale of Florence; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Roy Earl Starling, age 82, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Shoals Hospital.
Mr. Starling was a native of Florida but had lived in Russellville for the past year. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Plymouth Church of Christ. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Apopka, Florida.
Mr. Starling is survived by his wife, Althea Starling; a son, John I. Starling of Nashville; three daughters, Alison Gilliam of Johnson City, Tennessee, Nancy Foster of Russellville, and Adrienne Moore of Memphis, Tennessee; a foster daughter, Carmen Daniels of Groveland, Florida; a brother, Edward Starling of Keystone Heights, Florida; two sisters, Ethel Gordon of Hiawassee, Georgia, and Mildred Mason of Thomasville, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
