The work force of several county businesses will increase next Wednesday.
At least it will look that way.
The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual job shadowing day on Wednesday, Feb. 2. The day will allow eleventh grade students from around the county to visit businesses and see what skills and knowledge are required for that particular job.
The project is part of a statewide school to work initiative which is an effort to raise academic achievement and provide better career development as proclaimed by Gov. Bob Riley.
The half-day event will match students with local business hosts in an effort to show them what the day-to-day operations of their business is like.
