Hattiesburg's finest culinary
artists come together for benefit

Volunteers from the Hattiesburg area are preparing for the 3rd Annual Stars &Guitars Gourmet Tasting &Chefs Auction event.
Forrest General Hospital is the sponsor for this year's event. The auction is expected to raise $20,000. The money will be used to fund research projects and community programs implemented by the March of Dimes.
Southern Oaks House &Gardens is host to the event, which will benefit the March of Dimes. The event is scheduled for Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. Chefs from all over the Hattiesburg area will prepare samples of their signature delicacies for guests to indulge.
The auction will begin at 6 p.m., with the sampling of the food and silent auction bidding. Local businesses and organizations have donated their products and services for the auction.
The silent auction is expected to raise more than $5,000. The live auction commences at 7 p.m. with unique and priceless dining packages, donated by the participating chefs.
There will also be travel packages to bid on such as a Beau Rivage Resort and Casino Biloxi package, a Hotel Monteleone New Orleans package and other packages like a USM season ticket tailgating package.
