Clarkdale used two four-run innings and to take an 11-0, run-rule victory over Newton High in slow-pitch softball action on Thursday night.
The Lady Bulldogs got off to a slow start but rolled to the win to improve to 7-0 for the year and 1-0 in division play.
Clarkdale jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Alyssa Bye reached on an error and Kimbo Seale singled. After a fielder's choice by Ashley Bye, Whitney Drachenberg singled in a run.
Savannah Satcher brought in the second run of the inning with a single and Sabrina Woodall followed with a single to keep the pressure on the Tigers. An error by Newton allowed Satcher to score the final run of the first.
After struggling the next couple innings, the Lady Bulldogs added four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to stretch the lead.
Woodall doubled to start the inning and Tessa Gamble walked. Lauren Robinson followed with a single to make the score 4-0.
Page Sheppard brought in another run with a sacrifice fly and an error on Alyssa Bye's ground ball allowed another run to score to make the score 6-0.
Seale singled to keep the inning going and Ashley Bye singled in the final run of the inning to extend the lead to 7-0.
In the fifth inning, the Lady Bulldogs put the game away with another four-run inning.
Satcher and Woodall singled to start the inning and Roberts singled in Satcher to make the score 8-0.
Robinson singled to bring in Woodall to make the score 9-0.
Newton was able to get two outs in the inning and looked to extend the game, but Alyssa Bye finished off the Lady Tigers. She blasted a pitch off the center field wall for a double and brought in two runs to make the final score 11-0.
The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday night when they host Quitman in a makeup game.
