Mockbee, Douglas

Sarah Ann Mockbee of Canton and Samuel Wainwright Douglas of Houston, Texas, announce their engagement.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at 6 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Canton.
Parents of the couple are Jacquelyn Johnson Mockbee of Canton and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fair Douglas of Houston. Miss Mockbee is also the daughter of the late Samuel Mockbee of Canton.
Miss Mockbee is the granddaughter of Edna Earl Johnson of Collinsville and the late Mark Moore Johnson and the late Margaret and Norman Mockbee of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Canton Academy and a magna cum laude graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University.
While attending Columbia, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Douglas is the grandson of Mazelle Wainwright of Pineville, La. and the late Irving Wainwright and Minnie Merle Douglas of DeQuincy, La. and the late Osler Douglas.
The bridegroom-elect is an honors graduate of New York University.
Mr. Douglas is a documentary filmmaker in New York, N.Y.
