PHILADELPHIA A man injured Wednesday in a harness race at the Neshoba County Fair has been treated and released from a county hospital.
The horse pulling driver David Donald broke stride and fell during the fourth race at about 2:45 p.m., said Gilbert Donald, the fair association's vice president and racing chairman.
Witnesses said several horses stepped on David Donald, but his injuries were later determined not to be life-threatening.
The harness races are among the fair's most popular features and while accidents are uncommon, they occasionally happen, Gilbert Donald said.
The horse pulling David Donald was not seriously injured in the crash.
