YORK, Ala. Services for William "Bill" Thomas Guyton will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Ballard officiating. Burial will be in York Cemetery.
Mr. Guyton, 63, of Birmingham and York, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at Health South Medical Center in Birmingham. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and held numerous positions in journalism. He enjoyed writing poems, short stories, gardening, and was a lay religious worker in churches.
Survivors include his brother, Dr. Robert D. Guyton of New Orleans, La., and Birmingham; sisters, J. Lanell Guyton and Lucile Guyton Woodruff, both of Birmingham, Carolyn Guyton Kearns of High Point, N.C., and Marilyn Guyton Houghland of Brentwood, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mayme Guyton; brothers, Dr. Walter R. Guyton, Fred Guyton and Jack Guyton and a sister, Levon G. Simpkins.
Memorials may be made to the Walter R. Guyton Memorial Scholarship Fund, Office of Advancement Services, University of Alabama, P.O. Box 870101, Tuscaloosa, Al. 35487-0101.
Pallbearers will be David Hatcher, Rufus Newell, Robert Ben Webb, Walt Weaver, Charlie Munoz and Doug Kiker.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Garnett Sturdivant Wilbourn will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Rhett G. Payne III and Rev. Robert Horel officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilbourn, 90, of Meridian, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. A native of Glendora, Miss., Wilbourn was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Micajah Purnell Sturdivant. She graduated from Greenwood High School, and attended the University of Mississippi where she received a bachelor of arts degree with distinction in 1934. While at Ole Miss, she served as president of Chi Omega Sorority. After her marriage in 1936 to James Cox Wilbourn, an attorney, she made her home in Meridian.
An active member of First Presbyterian Church in Meridian, she served on the Pulpit Committee and as chairperson of her Circle many times. She also served on the board of Belhaven College in Jackson. She served as state president for the Mississippi Chapter of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America and was a member of that board for many years. She was a long-time member and twice president of the Fortnightly Club and belonged to the Meridian Junior Auxiliary and the Northwood Garden Club. Together with her husband and children, she was involved in various businesses and farming interests in Mississippi and the Southeast. She was instrumental in founding several charitable foundations including those for Lamar School, French Camp Academy and the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Eggleston Wilbourn II and his wife, Deanna, of Meridian, and James Garnett Wilbourn and his wife, Jane, of Clarksdale; daughter Margaret Wilbourn Vise and her husband, Dr. Guy Thompson Vise Jr., of Jackson; grandchildren, Richard E. Wilbourn III and his wife, Victoria, Guy T. Vise III and his wife, Leigh, James Wilbourn Vise and his wife, Heather, all of Jackson, Elizabeth Wilbourn Williamson and her husband, Russell and Garnett Wilbourn Hutton and her husband, Tom, all of Memphis, James Cox Wilbourn II and Andrew Sturdivant Wilbourn, both of Clarksdale, and Sarah Wilbourn Hubacek, and her husband, Mike, of Houston, Texas and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cox Wilbourn of Meridian; a brother, Benjamin William Sturdivant of Glendora; and a sister, Margaret Sturdivant Yandell of Vance.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, William M. Yandell Jr., Micajah P. Sturdivant II, Ben S. Yandell, Dr. George L. Arrington Jr., Charles P. Carriere III, Ralph Hand, N. Buckner Barkley Jr. and James R. Douglas.
Memorials may be made to the Endowment Trust at First Presbyterian Church, 911 23rd Ave., Meridian, MS 39301; the French Camp Academy at French Camp, MS; or Belhaven College, 1500 Peachtree St., Jackson, MS.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Wednesday from 9:45 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorial services for Brenda Gail Moulds will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church with the Rev. Wyatt Harvey officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moulds, 41, of Collinsville, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, in her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandy Moulds of Meridian; step-daughters, Jennifer Barrett and Amanda Moulds, both of Meridian; five grandchildren; her father, R.L. Price of Collinsville; a brother, Jerry Price of Collinsville and a sister, Joyce Moulds of Collinsville.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. Services for Maggie Pendergrass Wiggins will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Carl Wells and Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Wiggins, 93, of Tuscaloosa, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at Northport Health and Rehab Center. She was born in the Siloam Community of Sumter County on April 9, 1911. She spent her adult years as a wonderful mother and teacher. She taught in schools in Lauderdale County and retired from Cottondale Elementary School in Tuscaloosa.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Wiggins Wickline of Tuscaloosa; grandsons, John Gaynor Wickline and his wife, Tammy, of Bryan, Texas, and Glenn E. Wickline of Kennesaw, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Katie Wickline and Nathaniel Wickline, both of Bryan; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Wiggins; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Levi Pendergrass; sisters, Kate and Susie and four brothers, Clyde, Julius, Mike and Eddie.
Memorials may be made to fund mission trips at First Baptist Church, Greensboro Ave., Tuscaloosa, Ala., or to Southern Care Hospice Inc., 3356 Vann Road, Birmingham, Ala. 35235.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the J.O.Y. Sunday School class of First Baptist Church, Grover Holcolmb and the nursing staff of Northport Health and Rehab Center.
